Poetry: 1

So, I really wanted to share some poetry with everyone tonight. Sometimes my songs are derived from the poems I write. Here is a romantic poem I wrote for a guy that I met in the school hallway. It is called Hummingbird's Wings and Honey. Comment and leave your thoughts! I'm interested in reading them.

-->
Exchange your honey-sweet smile with me darling, and keep this sugar rush warm.
Our stares are emerald and cerulean, intent, thirsty
Do I dare pierces the silence with my fervent arrows?
This drab milieu is hardly the place to do so.
My heart flutters like a hummingbird’s wings, too fast, too fast. .  .
Your lips, they part
Your voice is consoling yet it leaves me delightfully uneasy.
My cheeks blush and I clumsily articulate the words I was sure to choke.
Sighing so heavily,
I know I must tuck away these desires in my pocket where,
Hopefully,
They will remain until tomorrow
