So, I really wanted to share some poetry with everyone tonight. Sometimes my songs are derived from the poems I write. Here is a romantic poem I wrote for a guy that I met in the school hallway. Our stares are emerald and cerulean, intent, thirsty

Do I dare pierces the silence with my fervent arrows?

This drab milieu is hardly the place to do so.

My heart flutters like a hummingbird’s wings, too fast, too fast. .  .

Your lips, they part

Your voice is consoling yet it leaves me delightfully uneasy.

My cheeks blush and I clumsily articulate the words I was sure to choke.

Sighing so heavily,

I know I must tuck away these desires in my pocket where,

Hopefully,

They will remain until tomorrow

Playing Live

New Direction

I am taking a new direction with my music. As in, I am writing more upbeat songs. I currently have a new song that I'm really excited about. I think my audience will enjoy it. Stay tuned for its release!

P.S. I'm thinking about making an actual low budget music video for it!!!!! We will just have to see . . .

LOOOONG week and WDXE contest!

This past week has been the longest week of my life so far, but I have a feeling that things are going to get better. They MUST!
Anyway, I entered WDXE's Acoustic Idol contest. The winner gets $1500 and will get to record five songs in a recording studio. The voting begins on July 1st and will last for 30 days. I have put the link below if you would like to read more.

Faded Heart

This is another new song. It is called Faded Heart and it will also be on my EP along with Feel The Same.

I'm working on a new song right now. It's titled "Come Back Around". So far I am happy with the sound. I will keep you guys posted on it.
